Triumph T595 Daytona Manual

Triumph T595 Daytona Manual

triumph t595 net

I've been riding bikes since I was about ten years old. It all started when my parents started gliding, so I spent most of my weekends at the airfield where us kids always has some form of two wheeled motorised transport we put together in the workshop, (or at least our parents did)! I had a break from bikes for about four years at the age of 41, then my best friend decided to take his bike test, so I bought an old BMWR1100RS to keep him company. That bike bought back my love of motorbikes.

triumph t595 daytona bar risers

Recently a group of seven of us decided to plan a trip to Barcelona, travelling down through France and Andorra into Spain. I thought I'd change my bike for something younger.I have owned most of the modern Triumphs over recent years, and after a rather uninspiring visit to a BMW dealer, decided to take another look at this famous manufacturer. I had seen a few Rocket 3 bikes around and loved the way they looked. I had never ridden a cruiser before, so when the dealer offered me a test ride I jumped at the chance.

1998 triumph t595 daytona parts

The bike is a Rocket 3 Classic, which means slightly more swept back handlebars and foot boards, as opposed to pegs, with a heel and toe gear change.Sitting on this machine was initially a bit intimidating. Everything was big! However, turning the engine on gave that Triumph signature sound - a slight burble from the three cylinders and slight whine from the cams.I gently let out the clutch, noticing how big the levers were under my fingers, and gave it just enough throttle to keep the engine just above tick over.

triumph t595 photos

I decided to ride it around and between the three rows of parked second hand bikes on the large forecourt. The bike rolled forward. What I noticed immediately, given that I could only go slowly around the parked bikes, was how incredibly well balanced this bike is. With its massive 2.3 litre engine to the right and the five speed box to the right, Triumph has done an amazing job putting this altogether under the tank. The first thing to get used to was the bars. I am used to crouching forward and just leaning in the direction I want to turn. With this bike, and I guess any large cruiser, you have to actually turn the bars at first. I found this a little unnerving, expecting to turn my face into the concrete below more as the bike turned over.

triumph t595 repair manual

Fortunately this did not happen, but I am still getting used to the throttle response and finding the balance between turning the bars and feeding in the power to get turned and upright again. The next thing to get used ton were the foot boards and their position. Being a cruiser the foot boards are set forward, so I waved my feet around quite a bit at first when pulling away, feeling for the boards.

triumph t595 top yoke

One soon gets used to their position however, and then there's the heel and toe gear change to master. At first I simply used my toe to change up and down, but the main drawback with this approach is that neutral is much harder to find. Using your toe and trying to lift the gearshift from first to neutral often results in missing neutral and shifting into second. However, shifting down to first gear and then using your heel engages neutral easily.

triumph t595 chain and sprocket kit

Mastering the heel and toe does not in fact take long. The best thing about this bike is its power delivery. Unlike say, a Blackbird, where the power comes on quickly and builds, the Rocket is very easy.

1997 triumph t595 reviews

triumph t595 body

The peak power comes in low down, but you never feel that the bike is urging you on. Yes, if you open the throttle it's like being hit in the back with a sledgehammer, (I have a riders back pad fitted), but if you just want to potter along at 50-60 miles an hour around the lanes it's very civilised and you never feel it's about to suddenly leap away. It's not a sports bike, so the usual comparisons I feel are totally pointless and a little silly; very few riders take their bikes to the limit anyway.

1997 triumph t595 alternator

The fact is this is one fantastic motorcycle, which for someone of a certain age and weight, who does not want to be crouched with their knees around their ears but still enjoys speed and wants to do some touring, it's the tool to have as far as I'm concerned.

Most of the hurts and troubles coming from riding is from not being really comfortable on your bike.

Wrist Joint Angle
While doing this also take careful note of the angle of your wrists to the angle of the bars. Oftentimes you will find your wrists are at a slightly different angle to the bars. This means that you need bars set at a slightly different angle to the originals. There are a variety of handlebar risers on the market and you should be able to find a set that meets your need if you experiment a bit by using the above test.

BMW K Series Owners For riders of some of the BMW K series model Motorcycles, Flood makes an adjustable riser that you can fiddle around with to get into just the right position thus saving buying a range of bars until you get it right. Downside is they are only good for models K1200RS, K1300RS and R1200S.

Rebuild Your BMW R1200S

These bars are limited in their adjustment though as they only rise about an inch (25mm) although they can be set so they are a bit closer or a bit further away from the rider and no cable or other wiring extensions are needed.
Â
If this doesn't meet your requirements then you need to go to other makers but you will be into more work extending cables and brake lines to get a more rise. It is amazing sometimes how a very small change in handlebar position can make a huge difference in riding comfort and reduce or eradicate "after the ride" aches and troubles.

Toyota Camry Hybrid Service Manual

Toyota Camry Hybrid Service Manual

Toyota has 2 massive things in store for the Camry when the 2007 model year version of the vehicle rolls out this coming summer: a total revamp and the supply of a hybrid engine. Already the best selling vehicle in America, the Camry is certain to be modernized and re-engineered. Let's take a look at some of the changes booked for Toyota's venerable model.

New Styling Cues - No-one has ever said that the Camry is a knock out when it comes to style. Regardless of its pedestrian look, the Camry has managed to take advantage of Toyota quality, price, and engineering to present a car that is obviously a best seller. Still, critics have routinely yawned at the Camry's aspects, but that will shortly all change and dramtically at that.

Toyota Camry Hybrid Problems Resolved With This Service Manual

Borrowing some styling cues from Toyota's Lexus line up of top end cars, the 2007 Camry is anticipated to please motorists and critics alike. Witness the latterly made over Toyota Avalon: what was a tasteless, a bland, full sized vehicle has been changed into a smooth, lush sedan.

Time For A Hybrid - Toyota is riding the hybrid crest and it will, introduce hybrid technology into the Camry line up. Like all of the Camry models, the hybrid version will also be built in the first Toyota hybrid to be built outside of Japan. However, the battery and inverter will be imported from Japan while the engine will be Kentucky built.

Toyota Camry Hybrid Problems

The Camry will join the Prius and the Highlander as the third Toyota model to supply hybrid technology. More Power - Anticipated to be in the same size range as the Camry will keep its current model, the Camry will keep its current four and six cylinder engines, but both will be reworked enough to crank out additional horsepower without compromising on fuel economy.

The Camry's chief rival over the last ten years has been the Honda Accord. With a hybrid offering available and an enhanced appearance prepared the Camry is likely to fortify its hold on the "top seller" class when the new model is released. No one knows for sure if the "hybrid phase" is simply a fad or something that will at last catch on.

With government credits still available and high gas costs at the pump, Americans continue to look at hybrids as a workable substitute to thirsty internal combustion engines. Toyota, for its part, continues to take advantage of this trend and the Camry is the newest car in Toyota's expanding arsenal to incorporate hybrid technology.

Daewoo Nubira Service Manual

Daewoo Nubira Service Manual

The Daewoo automobile manufacturer lived from 1967 up until it was dismantled by the Korean government come 1999. The name Daewoo is a Korean word that means "Great House". This company was founded by Kim Woo Choong, and also, this company became one of the Big Four conglomerates in South Korean. Aside from the usual cars and vehicles, the Daewoo Group also manufactured and produced consumer electronics, computers, telecommunications products, construction equipment, buildings, and musical instruments like the Daewoo Piano. Under the Daewoo Group, there were several major corporations that were sheltering under its big industrial and conglomerate umbrella: the Daewoo Electronics, Daewoo Heavy Industries, Daewoo Ship Building, Daewoo Securities, Daewoo Telecom, Daewoo Construction, and Daewoo International. What affected Daewoo's expansion and overall business was generally cut down to several factors which included the South Korea's government's intervention, the labor market, the company's operations in a global economy, and the quality of products from Korea.

Daewoo Nubira Service Manual

Daewoo Nubira Service Manual

Once all these affected the whole operations, the Daewoo Group then decided to cut off one its arms and thus sold Daewoo Motors, its automotive company, to General Motors in the United States. At present, the Daewoo cars that are under General Motors include the Leganza, Nubira, and Lanos, and these are sold in the United States. However, in other parts of the globe, especially in UK, other car models of Daewoo are also sold like the Matiz, Kalos, Lacetti, and the Tacuma. Daewoo has sincerely made it a point to put its best foot forward in every bit and piece that is manufactured as part of the Daewoo vehicle clan. One of these unique and sturdy parts is the Daewoo wheel.

Daewoo Nubira Service Manual

The Daewoo wheel is a circular object that works together with the vehicle's axle. This kind of pairing up allows low friction in motion by rolling. These are commonly used in conjunction with an axle, and either the wheel turns on the axle or the wheel is rigidly attached to the axle. This then turns in bearings in the body of the Daewoo vehicle. All these could be scientifically explained: the normal force at the sliding interface is the same, the sliding distance is greatly reduced for a given distance of travel, and the coefficient of kinetic friction for the interface can be very much lower. In Daewoo vehicles, Daewoo wheels are one of its most striking vehicles, and they have the power and capability to create and unmake its impression of a tough performance, luxury and comfort.

Daewoo Nubira Service Manual

Also, these wheels are more often than not used with not only performance and comfort in mind but also they are used to accessorize and provide an aesthetic function. To ensure safe and excellent driving and ride, Daewoo has guaranteed they their Daewoo wheels have the right dimensions and type and are made from quality and strong material.

Daihatsu Sirion

Daihatsu Sirion Service Manual

Some say "This car is like economical aid in time of financial crisis!" There has been a lot of talk about this little gem of a car. Recently Daihatsu quoted there are 5 Reasons to buy a Daihatsu Sirion.

1)Established Reliability 2)Spend Less - money on petrol 3)Save More on Road Fund Licence - Sirion is only £35.00 annual tax 4)Low Emissions 5)Free 5 Year warranty and 5 Year Road Side Assistance

But also:

1) The Sirion is made by the Top 3 most reliable car manufacturers as issued in the Which? Car Awards 2008

2) The Sirion is sold by Daihatsu who were voted as one of the top 3 car brands for sales and service as published in the Which? Car Accolades 2008.

3) Daihatsu was voted as one of the top 4 car brands as published in the Which? Car Accolades 2008

4) The Daihatsu Sirion was voted as one of the best 5 superminis for reliability as issued in the Which? Car Awards 2008

So why is the Sirion so super? Well let me present the facts then you can make up your own mind.

When Daihatsu set about making the Sirion their goal was simple but challenging, to make a small car with the highest standards of interior space and equipment, but at the same time incorporating advanced engine technology and body design to give low fuel consumption figures and CO2 emissions.

Daihatsu Sirion Service Manual

The Sirion has been specifically designed to provide more space, more equipment, more manoeuvrability, and more economy than any other car in its class, with minimum impact on the environment. It has a distinctive style that sets it apart. You can see it in every line and curve and appreciate it from every angle.

Stylish and pint-sized and with its small turning circle it's easy to drive and manoeuvre. And with its intelligent design has a shorter engine compartment to give an unexpectedly big interior. Add the flexible seating and load layout, air conditioning (standard on all models) and a CD/Radio/MP3 audio scheme and you have a great car that is a pleasure to drive and own. The Sirion really is one car that meets most needs.

It looks good from the outside and also on the inside. There is a great range of models available to suit everyone. From the frugal but spirited 1.0 litre the added power of the 1.3 litre or the flagship 1.5 litre SX.

The Sirion is very compact great for parking spaces. It has a shorter turning circle than other cars in its class.

The Sirion is Modern, funky, Spacious, Versatile, sufficient, Stylish, Manoeuvrable, goes anywhere, fits in anywhere, safe but most importantly to Some in the current financial climate - efficient not on petrol but Road Fund Tax set at just £35.00 per year.

Daihatsu Sirion Service Manual

A quick inspection of the Sirion demonstrates the famous Japanese build quality. Look closer and you'll notice the contrast between sharp, shape-defining lines and gentle, aerodynamic curves that together create a distinctive, modern profile.

The Sirion has sufficient space in abundance. And just to make sure that you are really sufficient all Sirions are equipped with a height adjustable steering column and with the exception of the 1.0s, they all have driver's seat height adjustment.

The Sirion is full of equipment that has been sensibly fashioned. Take the radio/CD Player for instance. No more groping for tiny buttons to change channels. No more looking for the volume control. The integrated radio/CD player has large, easy to see and easy to use controls.

Every Sirion also has air conditioning, electric power steering, electric windows front and rear, driver, passenger and side airbags, ABS with EBD - the list goes on.

In addition to the odometer and trip meter the current or average fuel consumption can be displayed on the LCD panel for your information.

Other features include: Enlightened electric window switches, centre storage tray and box, Front floor console bottle holders, ipod/Mp3 connectivity, integrated audio system. The Sirion comes in 7 colours. All stylish and sleek.

Daihatsu Sirion Service Manual

Seats - Rear Seat Reclining Mode - The right and left split rear seat both offer a reclining backrest that allows rear passengers to relax and enjoy a more sufficient drive.

baggage Mode - When the rear seatbacks are folded forward the baggage capacity is increased giving maximum luggage space for two people going on a long trip. When the rear luggage space will comfortably accommodate two fully-loaded golf bags, a 60/40 split folding rear seat may seem almost superfluous. But if you ever need to carry something extra long or luggage this comes in handy!

The Engine - the 1.5 litre Sirion is powerful with twin Camshafts, 16 valves and dynamic variable valve timing makes sure that performance is optimised, together with fuel consumption and emissions. The engine of the Sirion 1.5 SX produces a respectable output of 102 bhp. For the manual gearbox this gives a brisk acceleration figure of 0-62 mph in 10.5 seconds. Fuel consumption is still an economic 45.6 mpg on the combined cycle whilst C02 emissions remain low at 145g/km. The self regenerating super intelligent catalyst also enhances its environment credentials. So the Sirion 1.5 SX isn't a guilty pleasure - just a sheer pleasure to drive.

For safety Daihatsu have fashioned this cars body with Impact Absorbing body. The cabin is protected by an advanced shock absorbing structure and the brake and clutch pedals are fashioned not to intrude into the cabin in event of a collision. There is a SRS Airbag scheme in place to protect against collision. There is skid control and Traction Control system in place along with Brake Assist, Brake Mechanism and there is an Anti-Lock Braking with EBD on all models.

Additional Features on a range of models: chrome plated inside door handle, black rear light housing, side skirts, rear spoiler 8 spoke alloy wheels can be ordered instead of 5 and so on.

Ducati Monster S2R800

Ducati Monster S2R800

Credited as the bike which saved Ducati in troubled times the Ducati Monster was first launched in 1993 to critical acclaim. Sharing parts from several model ranges it took the frame from the 916 family, married to a carburetted aircooled engine ranging from the M400 through to the M900 (M400, M600, M750, M900). With bodywork designed by Miguel Angel Galluzzi it was an instant hit with its back to basics design remit, light weight, sportsbike handling and awesome exhaust note.

Late in 1999 Ducati added fuel injection to the M900 and in 2001 shoehorned the watercooled 916 engine from the 916 superbike into the Monster creating the S4, a brutally fast and fun naked bike. Adding premium components from the likes of Brembo, Marchesini, Showa and other producers they created a bike which would become legendary for it's versatility and ability. In 2005 it was all change again with the retirement of the famous 916 powerplant, only for the engine to be replaced with the Testastretta engine from the 999 Superbike creating the top of the range S4R. Adorned with Ohlins suspension, Marchesini alloy wheels and radial brakes it took the Performance and handling of the Monster to the next level.

Ducati Monster S2R800

Ducati Monster S2R 800 Mods

At the same time coinciding with an all new engine range for the Super Sport range the Monster inherited the all new 2 valve 800 and 1000 engines becoming the S2R 800 and S2R 1000 respectively, although, it could be argued that the term "all-new" is incorrect as the engines were modified 750cc and 900cc powerplants from the Supersport ranges.

Moving to the current Monster Range, there are three models: the 696, 1100, and 1100S. The Monster 696 was announced in November 2006 and officially launched early April 2008 in Barcelona. The Monster 1100 was announced in October 2007. Based on the Monster 696, it comes with a larger 1078 cc engine, a single sided swingarm, radial brake calipers, larger diameter forks and taller suspension.

The 1100S model features fully adjustable suspension elements, a different colour scheme and aluminium brake disc carriers reducing weight. All models have been praised by the press and public alike, and in what is quite a special achievement actually take the best of the older models and improve upon them both technically and aesthetically.

Ducati Monster S2R800 Service Manual

Like most fancier marques, there is a very active trade in aftermarket Execution parts and customisation with a lot of owners choosing to fit freer flowing exhausts, premium suspension, lighter wheels and carbon fiber accessories from producers such as Termignoni, Arrow, Fast By Ferracci, Akrapovic and Ducati Execution, ohlins, Marchesini and Showa to name but a few, all of these parts taking an already good standard motorcycle and making it better. The Monster range has also spawned several signature products including Monster watches and clothing, but most notably the Ducati Burton snowboard, a collaboration between two of the hottest brands of the present day, Ducati and Burton snowboards.

Ducati Monster S2R800 exhaust

The Ducati Monster S2R800 snowboards were made in strictly limited numbers, appearing in a gloss red or matt black, adorned in both cases with a stomp pad manufactured to look like the fuel filler on the Monster road motorcycle. Both are very special and very collectable.

BMW HP2 Enduro

BMW HP2 Enduro

The BWM HP2 Sport is the latest iteration of the Bavarian Motor Company's foray into producing execution driven motorcycles. The quiet, staid, and lets just admit it boring motorcycles that came out of BMW in years past is history. The HP line is BMW's new high execution, cutting edge line up. It's the motorcycle equivalent of their M line of performance cars. The HP2 Sport is the third motorbike in the HP line following the releases of the HP2 Enduro and the HP2 Megamoto.

BMW HP2 Enduro Problems?

The HP-2 Sport is based on the R1200S but is out and out designed for sports riders who are looking for a machine that has performance as well as endurance. The HP2 Sport keeps some of the concepts that BMW motorcycles have become known for such as the BMW Motorrad Telelever front interruption and the EVO Paralever rear suspension. Other components have been newly developed or highly modified for use in the motorbike.

Problems with your BMW HP2 Enduro?

The HP-2 Sport is powered by a twin Boxer motor that has a capacity of 1170 cc. The engine's cylinder heads were completely redesigned which allows the engine to rev as high as 9500 rpm. The locomotive has a 101 mm bore and a 73 mm stroke and produces a maximum of 130 hp at 8,750 rpm and 85 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm. The bike has a close ratio six speed gear box, with first and second gear having higher ratios. This puts the gear increments closer to each other and results in less of a rev drop when progressing up through the gears.

All BMW HP2 Enduro Problems Resloved

The bike also has a gear shift assistant which allows the rider to shift gears without using the clutch. It works by sensing when the gear lever is activated. If it senses gear lever activation without the use of the clutch, it electronically reduces power to the locomotive which puts the engine in a low load state and makes it possible to shift without the clutch. If the rider uses the clutch, the system becomes inactive. The riding position of the HP-2 sport can be discovered as relaxed. BMW has large experience with endurance racing and knows that for racers to be fast over a long period staying power is more important than a full racer's tuck.

The dashboard was developed by 2D Systems, which also provides analytic reading systems to Moto GP racing. The fascia has two modes and is switched by two controls on the left handlebar. In road mode, typical information such as speed, rpm, time, and distance are displayed. In race mode data such as top speed, circuit times, number of gearshifts and rpm is shown. The HP2 Sport will push BMW further into the world of performance motorcycling.

Suzuki VZR1800 Boulevard

Suzuki VZR1800 Boulevard

When troubleshooting a VZR1800, first start with the fundamentals. These simple trials can work for any engine. All engines need three basic things to run fuel, spark and air. These simple things can cause your Suzuki VZR1800 to not start up or run poorly.

First start off with the fuel Withdraw the hose off the tank and make sure the fuel is flowing properly. Some bikes will have to turn the fuel selector to prime, not on, or fuel will not flow.

suzuki vzr1800 test

Take a torch and look down into the tank, is the fuel finished or is there dirt in the tank? Older Suzuki VZR1800s had a trouble with tanks rusting within and would plug the screen up inside the tank. Fuel delivery may still be a trouble but we will come back to that later.

Next Remove the spark plugs, you may need to Remove the tank to reach them. Inspect every spark plug as you take them out. All the spark plugs should look the same. If a plug looks white colored, that cylinder may be (lean) and not getting enough fuel.

If you have a plug that looks wet and black, that cylinder may getting too much fuel (rich) or not sparking good. Withdraw all the spark plugs and snap the plugs back into their wires.

Set the spark plugs on the engine so that they can ground themselves. Crank the bike over and observe the plugs for sparks, preferably somewhere dark. Make sure you look at all the plugs to make sure they are all sparking.

suzuki vzr1800 oem parts

If one spark looks down check the wire and plug, if old or worn replace them. If their is no spark the coil may be bad.If you have any test equipment such as an ohm meter, you can find out what the resistance reading should be for your bikes coils.

This way you will know for sure if the coils are o.k. If the ignition system looks fine move on to the carburetors. First, if the motorcycle has not been kept recently (a problem in itself) make sure the carbs are synchronized. To do this you need a vacuum gauge made for this. Remove the small rubber plug located between the carbs and the cylinder.

Attach the gauge and take the readings from each piston chamber. Replace the caps when not measuring or it won't run right. Adjust the throttle screw or linkage for that carb until they all read close to one another. Refer back to inspecting the spark plugs. If one cylinder looked lean or rich check all hoses for cracks and air leaks. If the VZR1800 has not been run in awhile the carbs may be (gummed up). Remove the float bowl off the bottom of the carb.

Look in the bowl for dark varnish looking gas. If the fuel looks dark you will probably have to Withdraw the pilot and main jets and cautiously run a wire through the center hole to clean them out. Be careful to not bend the float as the height needs to be correct to run well As Well. Check that the small needle connected to the float 'tween the pivot point, is moving up and down.

suzuki vzr1800 specs

If it doesn't move smoothly the carb will not fill up with gas or will run low as your driving down the road. Make sure you check the battery As Well, if they become weak the ignition system won't have enough power to keep the bike running swimmingly. If you still haven't found anything make sure you valve lash has been checked at the correct mileage intervals. If not this can cause many problems with the way it works.

As Well you can screw a compression gauge into the spark plug holes and check that they are within 5% 10% of each other. If one is way down you have a serious problem either with the pistons, bore or valves. This should be a good start to getting a general problem with your Suzuki VZR1800.

Daewoo Kalos

Daewoo Kalos Service Manual

Immediately settling properly into its world role as a General Motors budget brand, Daewoo is participating a period of sustained growth, with new models gradually coming into production. Having learnt from the excellent little Matiz that the combination of smart European bodyand chassis design with emerging country levelsof build costs lead to high value for all.

Daewoo has moved into next phase with the Kalos and Lacetti models. This will be followed by further new models (with the Nubira sedan replacement looking ever-more urgent) over the next couple of years, as the brand benefits from increased development and research resources provided by its parent group.

Problems With Your Daewoo Kalos

General motors recently announced that Daewoo's technical center in Korea will have an ever-bigger role in the GM family, and that they are looking for a halo car' that will gain Daewoo global approval, much as the MX5 has achieved for Mazda. So expect interesting things from Daewoo in future. LACETTI Styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Italdesign, the Lacetti has an quick look that moves Daewoo forward in terms of visual appeal, and backs this up with a similarly European package of power train and interruption systems. The result is a car that is far closer to in feel and character to cars built in Saarlouis tha n those we are used to getting from Seoul.

Daewoo Kalos Not Starting ?

Engine choice is 1.4 or 1.6 petrol units (with a 1.8 due soon, but no diesel variant yet, apparently) and acceleration is about what you'd expect in this class. High levels of trim and equipment, clean handling and a satisfyingly solid built quality add up to excellent value. Look up for sport variant- it is great fun to drive. MATIZ Daewoo began its corporate redefinition with this excellent little city car, a full four seater with peppy engine (either a three cylinder 800cc or a four cylinder 1.0litre) and a five speed transmission. Handling is good, and allows the driver to make the most of city driving conditions. Equipment levels are high (although using the air condition similar-engine model dulls acceleration by a marked amount) and the car is wonderfully frugal, even when made to work hard. Owner loyalty levels are very high, which speaks volumes for the car's success for Daewoo.

TACUMA Daewoo's rival in the fiercely-contested multipurpose vehicle sector has recently gained a fresh new look which aligns the model more closely with its newer stable mates; the clumsy rifle so the old model is Immediately gone to the great relief of taste police. In the terms of packaging the Tacuma is typically Daewoo; lots of bits that many manufacturers' charges extra for come as standard. As there is a good spread of engine and transmission options that offer something for the most potential buyers of Daewoo.

Daewoo Kalos Problems?

The interior packaging is clever and versatile-and certainly a match for other similar vehicles-but the major advantage the car has over many rivals is the Daewoo ownership experience; fixed running make for happy drivers.
